License and permits granted to tavern keepers and retailers of spiritous liquors by the Com'r. of excise at their meeting held the first day of May 1804 amounts to the sum of 105 dollars.

At a special town meeting of the freeholders and inhabitants of the Town of New Windsor held at the house of Sarah Hamiltons on Saturday the twenty fifth of August 1804, for the purpose of electing one Overseer of the Poor in the place of Jabish Atwood who did not take the oath required by law and the said Jabish Atwood was again relected one of the Overseers of the Poor for said town.

Voted -

That the sum of one dollar per day be allowed for the services of the Com'r. of Schools last year, and also the sum of one dollar per day be allowed to them the present year.

That the sum of twenty five dollars be allowed to Thomas Nicholson for this year and that sum be descretionary with the Overseers of the Poor.

That the sum of fifty dollars be allowed to Jane Duboise for the maintenance and clothing the child of Sarah Charrighan one year.

That the sum of fifty six dollars be allowed to Hugh McGill for the maintenance and clothing of Jonah one year.

That Catherine Chamble be struck off the poor books.

Voted -

That the sum of seven hundred dollars be raised for support of the poor.
