New Windsor launches new Special Needs Youth Bowling Program

New Windsor, NY – The Town of New Windsor is proud to announce the launch of a new special needs youth bowling program being run by the Town’s Recreation Department.

This new program is free for all participants, regardless of residency, thanks to the generosity of Tarsio Bowling Time Lanes and Horizon Family Medical Group.

This organized six week, once a week bowling program, is geared towards children with developmental or physical disabilities ages 6-18 allowing them to participate in organized bowling in Orange County.

When: Monday’s April 2nd– May 7th 6:00-7:00pm
Ages: 6 - 18 Years Old
Fee: Free for all participants
Location: Tarsio’s Bowling Time Lanes 2922 Route 9W New Windsor, NY

Town Supervisor George Green stated, “New Windsor is proud to offer this new special needs youth bowling program. It is an expansion of our already existing offerings for special needs children in the community. I want to thank Councilman Regenbaum for spearheading this effort as well as Tarsio Lanes and Horizon Family Medical Group for sponsoring the program allowing it to be free for all participants.”

Councilman Andrew Regenbaum, who developed this program stated, “This is a great program for children with special needs to be able to learn bowling and have fun. New Windsor recreation has been at the forefront of offering free programing for special needs children and I thank Horizon Family Medical Group and Tarsio Lanes for helping make this possible with support for our new exciting town program.”
