On 05/27/2015 at approximately 12:00pm the New Windsor Police responded to the area of International Drive on Stewart Airport for a report of loud noises coming from the Town owned empty buildings. Upon arrival PO John Martin and PO John Vasta could hear banging coming from building 1814. Upon approaching the building officers observed that the locked doors had been pried open and they observed an individual inside the building cutting away wiring from lights still hung in the ceiling. Further investigation revealed that the individual had cut several copper wires as well as damaged the plumbing by cutting away the copper piping. All of which was packaged for removal. The suspect identified as Terry McQuiston 55 years of age was taken into custody. McQuiston was charged with Burglary in the third degree, Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree, Petit Larceny and Possession of Burglar tools. He is currently being held in the New Windsor Police lock-up pending arraignment.
