Increased enforcement activity will continue through this week, day and night in this jurisdiction, as well as many others in the state. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA) reports that in 2012, 61 percent of passenger vehicle occupants killed in vehicle crashes at night (6 p.m. – 5:59 a.m.) were not wearing their seat belts. Please do not become a number in these statistics. Buckle Up!
