TO ALL NEW WINDSOR RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS:
Please be advised that the Town is in the process of drafting a Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan for the Town of New Windsor. Stuart Turner & Associates, a planning consultant, has been retained to assist the Town and a Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan Committee has been established.
The Purpose of a Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan is to develop strategies that reduce the loss of life and property resulting from natural disasters. In addition, once a local government has adopted a Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan, they are eligible to receive certain types of non-emergency disaster assistance.
THE COMMITTEE IS INVITING INPUT FROM THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS.

You may also submit written requests using the public comment box located at the service counter of the Town Clerk’s Office or via regular mail to Pre-Disaster Plan Committee, 555 Union Avenue, New Windsor, NY 12553.
