Boil Water Advisory
Due to infrastructure improvements, water service was interrupted on Tuesday, April 24, there is a boil water advisory in effect for: Oakridge Drive, StoneCrest Drive, Woodthrush Drive, #30 Broad Street, #'s 8, 10, 11, 12 Fanewood Drive and Quassaick Ave between Broad Street and Oakridge Drive.  Bring tap water to a rolling boil, boil for one minute and cool before using, or use bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food.

Stage 1 Water Conservation Measures in place as of October 8
As of October 8 the Town of New Windsor will be on a Stage 1 water restrictions due to a Catskill aqueduct shutdown.  Full Announcement

Over 50+ people attend New Windsor NARCAN Training

New Windsor, NY – Yesterday the Town of New Windsor hosted a free NARCAN training for the community with over 50 people receiving the training during two sessions.

The training was put on with the help of a state grant, at no cost to taxpayers or attendees. All attendees received an hour of training and a free NARCAN “overdose rescue kit” to take home with them.

New Windsor receives grant to fully fund food pantry from Orange County

New Windsor, NY – The Town of New Windsor is grateful to receive a $4,000 grant from County Executive Steve Neuhaus to fund a budget shortfall at the New Windsor Food Pantry.

The town currently supports 75 families through the food pantry. Largely funded by private donations, and administrated by the town recreation department, the food pantry faced a funding shortfall this year due in part to increased demand and the loss of a major funding source. Thanks to County Executive Neuhaus the food pantry will now be fully funded for the entire year.

New Windsor awarded Arbor Day Grant, plans public tree planting for April 27th

New Windsor, NY – The Town of New Windsor has been awarded an Arbor Day Community Grant from the New York State Urban Forestry Council.

The grant in the amount of $990 will fully fund the purchase of five trees and applicable supplies (mulch, top soil) to be planted at the town hall complex. The planting will occur during a public Arbor Day Event scheduled for 11 AM on April 27, 2018.
