Boil Water Advisory - Route 9W
Due to the water shut down for leak repairs a precautionary boil water advisory has been issued by the Town of New Windsor for the following locations - 3200, Route 9W, 3202 Route 9W, 3206 Route 9W, and 3212 Route 9W. Bring tap water to a rolling boil for 2 minutes, and cool before using. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food until further notice. **UPDATED ** Hydrant Flushing - October 10 through October 27, 2017 for Town and Firthcliffe Heights Residents
The Water Department will begin flushing fire hydrants on Tuesday, October 10 through Friday, October 27, 2017. Town residents, Stewart Airport and Firthcliffe Heights section of Cornwall may experience some water discoloration and low water pressure during this time. Please call the Water Department with any questions or concerns at (845) 561-2550.

Stage 1 Water Conservation Measures in place as of October 8
As of October 8 the Town of New Windsor will be on a Stage 1 water restrictions due to a Catskill aqueduct shutdown.  Full Announcement

The eight month long investigation, led by New Windsor Detectives, revealed that the business owner - Patrick J. Torpey, age 53, who is the owner of 20th Century Towing and 21st Century Auto Body on Union Ave in New Windsor, had a 1978 Porsche 911 at his business for repairs in 2012.
